My Bernard rifle chassis is rare in the states, and it is difficult to find parts for it. I spoke with multiple machine shops about creating a slightly taller cheekpiece, as the original was too short. No machine shop could do it, either due to an inability to make the curved cheekpiece or the inability to do it for less than $500, making it prohibitively expensive. Sub MOA Gear came to the rescue! Conner listened to my goals, obtained all necessary measurements, and calculated the appropriate thickness, rigidity, and strength of the composite to print to give me exactly what I needed. The piece has worked great. The texture is perfect, the strength offers no flexion, the piece locks in place perfectly, and it saves me a little weight to boot! Conner made exactly what I needed, even better than I could have imagined it. The only dilemma I have now is thinking up the next project to collaborate with him on.
